Custom Design Consultation
We'll work with you to create a lighting design that fits your home's architecture and your vision. Whether you want classic elegance or something more elaborate, we'll plan it out.
Professional Installation
Our experienced team handles all the climbing, measuring, and hanging. We bring the equipment, secure everything properly, and test all lights before we leave.
Commercial-Grade Lights
We use high-quality LED lights designed to withstand Pacific Northwest weather. They're brighter, last longer, and use less energy than standard consumer lights.
Complete Takedown
When the season's over, we come back and take everything down carefully. No more wrestling with tangled strands or risky ladder work in January weather.
Why Choose SWR Cleaning for Holiday Lights
We've been making Seattle-area homes shine for the holidays for years. Here's what sets us apart:
- Safety First: No more climbing ladders or working on slippery roofs. We're insured, experienced, and equipped to handle the job safely.
- Custom Designs: We don't do cookie-cutter installations. Every design is tailored to your home's unique features and your personal style.
- Quality Materials: Our commercial-grade LED lights are built to last and withstand rain, wind, and whatever else a Pacific Northwest winter throws at them.
- Hassle-Free Process: From design to installation to takedown, we handle everything. You just enjoy the lights.
- Timely Service: We show up when scheduled and get the job done efficiently. Your lights will be up and shining when you want them.
- Local Business: We're based here in the Seattle area. When you call, you'll talk to us, not a call center across the country.
How Our Holiday Lighting Process Works
We make the entire process simple and stress-free. Here's what to expect:
Consultation & Design
We visit your property, discuss your vision, and create a custom lighting plan. We'll show you options and provide a clear quote.
Professional Installation
Our team arrives with all equipment and materials. We install everything according to plan, test all lights, and clean up when done.
Enjoy the Season
Your lights are up and looking great. If anything needs adjustment during the season, just let us know and we'll take care of it.
Takedown & Storage
After the holidays, we return to carefully remove everything. If you've purchased our lights, we can store them for you until next year.
When to Book Your Holiday Light Installation
Timing matters when it comes to holiday lights. Here's what you need to know:
Best Time to Book
September and October are ideal. We start scheduling for the season in early fall, and popular installation dates fill up fast. Book early to get your preferred installation date and ensure we have time to create a custom design.
Installation Timeline
We typically install lights from mid-November through early December. Most homes want lights up right after Thanksgiving, which is our busiest period. The earlier you book, the more flexibility you have with scheduling.
During the Season
Once your lights are up, you control when they're on. We'll show you how to use the timer or controller. If anything stops working—a bulb burns out, a connection comes loose in the wind—just call us and we'll come fix it.
Takedown
We usually schedule takedowns for early to mid-January, after the holidays are over but before winter weather gets too nasty. You don't have to do anything—we'll contact you to schedule a time that works.
What Affects Holiday Lighting Pricing
Every home is different, and so is every lighting project. Here are the main factors that influence cost:
- Home Size & Roofline: A single-story ranch costs less than a two-story home with complex rooflines and multiple peaks. We price based on linear footage and installation complexity.
- Design Complexity: Basic roofline lighting is straightforward. Adding elements like wrapped columns, outlined windows, lit trees, or custom patterns increases the time and materials required.
- Light Type & Quality: We use commercial-grade LED lights, which cost more upfront but last longer and look better than consumer-grade options. The number of strands needed affects the total cost.
- Special Features: Icicle lights, net lights for bushes, spotlights for features, lighted wreaths—each additional element adds to the design and installation.
- Property Access: If your home requires special equipment (like a lift for very high peaks) or has challenging access, that's factored into pricing.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Some clients want mid-season checks included. We can build that into the package if you want extra peace of mind.
